Festival:

it is also famous for its sparking beach.
Each year on this beautiful beach, Puri Beach Festival
is commemorated. The Hotel And Restaurant Association
of Puri conducts this festival in a very fun-loving
spirit.
From fashion shows to rock shows, you can enjoy variety
of cultural events. With the exhibition of Handicrafts,
Handloom and Sand Art, this festival offers an opportunity
to the visitors to enjoy the grand charms of Orissa.

| Bali Yatra:
Orissa is abode of Gods and people
offer their gratitude by festivities. One of such festivity
is Bali Yatra, which is held on the banks of Mahanadi River
to celebrate the glory of early times. People of Cuttack and
rest of Orissa float small boats made by cork, colored paper
and barks of banana tree, in the river or water banks. Bali
Yatra is held for about three-four days where people can also
enjoy boating with friends and family in the starry night.
Puri
Rath Yatra:
Who doesn’t know how
grandly Puri Rath Yatra is celebrated every year. This
is a festival of Chariots of Lord Jagannath. On this
Divine procession of chariots, the presiding deties
of the main temple; Sri Mandira, Lord Jagannatha, Lord
Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra are taken out from the
premises of temple to be adorned on the decorated heavenly
looking chariots. Puri Rath Yatra is held in the beginning
of the monsoon.
Konark Festival:
If you plan your trip in the
first week of December, you can become part of lively
Konark Festival, which is held an open-air auditorium
with temple as backdrop. This extravaganza of dance
showcases traditional dance forms of India like Bharatnatyam,
Kathak, Odissi, Manipuri and renewal of ancient dance
forms like "Abhinaya Chandrika" that will
leave you mesmerized. Eminent dance performers are called
from around the world to delight the visitors.

Kalinga Mahotsav:
This festival is one of a kind that is truly dedicated to
special form of art- martial dance. Kalinga Mahotsav is celebrated
at the grounds of Dhauli Stupa, the place that is thought
to be the battleground where Emperor Ashok fought his last
war of Kalinga. Each year this festival showcases different
traditional martial dance forms from many parts of country.
The specialty of this festival is that every year it opens
with different choreography based on martial dance.
Parab Tribal Festival:
Parab is a month long festival of tribal people of Koraput
District, Orissa. The aim of this festival is to establish
it as a National Festival not only amongst localites but also
foreign tourists. This tribal festival is unique, enhancing
hidden art forms, culture and sports. Parab Tribal Festival
promotes the rich cultural heritage of this region. The District
Council of Culture of Koraput organizes Parab every year.
